Job summary

Reliance, Inc. seeks a skilled truck driver to operate commercial vehicles over 26,001 lbs, delivering and picking up merchandise and equipment in Louisville, KY and beyond. You will follow safety procedures, perform vehicle inspections, and ensure timely, accurate deliveries.

Daily responsibilities include logging activities with ELD, reading bills of lading, securing cargo, and coordinating with warehouse staff to verify items and quantities. EEO/DOT compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced in operating heavy commercial vehicles over 26,001 lbs.
• Ability to read and interpret bills of lading and load manifests.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of tractor pulling flatbed trailer.
• Check material and quantities sent to truck by warehouse personnel.
• Drive and climb into and out of tractors and trailers.
• Lift 50 pounds routinely.
• Position material on trailer using pry bar and other tools.
• Secure all loads (chains, straps) according to DOT regulations.
• Assist in unloading material at customer if required.
