Job summary

Summit Line Construction, a subsidiary of Quanta Services, is seeking an Over the Road Driver to perform long-haul transportation and timely deliveries while maintaining safety and regulatory standards. You will manage routes, secure cargo, and communicate with dispatch about changes.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL with a clean record, at least 1 year of OTR experience, and a good understanding of DOT rules. Expect routine vehicle inspections and accurate log maintenance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1 year of OTR driving experience.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations.
• Ability to operate various types of trailers and equipment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods across long distances following scheduled routes.
• Ensure that all cargo is secured properly for transit.
• Communicate with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate records of driving hours and cargo loads and complete shipping paperwork.
