Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Medical Assistant II to assist in patient care under a licensed practitioner. The MA II will perform MA I duties and be fully competent in clinic needs, following established policies and procedures.

Preferred candidates hold WA MA Certification and BLS. The position is on-site in Swedish First Hill, Seattle, with a pay range of $26.47–$40.49 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on clinical MA training or
• Graduate of a registered MA apprenticeship program
• Completed two years of medical training in the US Armed Forces
• Minimum one year of MA work experience including vital signs, injections, and medication administration
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 6 months healthcare experience
• 6 months medical assistant experience

Responsibilities

• Assist the licensed practitioner and perform duties to support patient care as directed.
• Carry out MA II responsibilities within PCP policies, procedures and regulations.

Education

Accredited medical assistant training

Registered medical assistant apprenticeship program

Two years of medical training in US Armed Forces

One year MA experience with vital signs, injections, medications

Washington Medical Assistant Certification

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days

6 months healthcare experience

6 months medical assistant experience
