Jobbeschreibung

Fifth Avenue Otolaryngology is a New York City based otolaryngology-head and neck surgery group with six specialists and a growing regional footprint. Our practice provides comprehensive care across adult and pediatric otolaryngology, general ENT, sinus and nasal surgery, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, head and neck surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, sleep surgery, allergy, and office-based procedures.

With locations in Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn, Fifth Avenue Otolaryngology serves a diverse patient population across the greater New York metropolitan region. The group is affiliated with regional medical centers, allowing our physicians to provide both outpatient and operative care in a well-supported clinical environment. As the practice continues to grow, we are seeking to expand our team with two new otolaryngology-head and neck surgery attending physicians.

Our current partners are all fellowship trained and bring complementary areas of expertise to the practice. We welcome fellowship-trained candidates and are especially interested in individuals who are looking to develop a focused or tertiary-level practice. There is support for the growth of subspecialty programs, including otology, head and neck cancer surgery, and pediatric otolaryngology. Candidates with fellowship training or focused interest in other areas of otolaryngology are also encouraged to apply. Fellowship training is welcomed and valued, but it is not an absolute requirement.

This is an excellent opportunity for motivated, well-trained otolaryngologists who are looking to join a high-volume, physician-led practice with strong clinical infrastructure, established referral patterns, hospital affiliations, and opportunities for professional growth. The incoming physicians will be able to build a robust outpatient and operative practice while working alongside experienced colleagues in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidates will be board-certified or board-eligible in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery and comfortable managing a broad range of general ENT conditions. Candidates with fellowship training or focused interest in facial plastic surgery, rhinology, sinus surgery, head and neck oncology, thyroid/parathyroid surgery, sleep surgery, otology, or pediatric otolaryngology are encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in physicians who are clinically strong, patient-centered, collegial, and interested in helping grow a dynamic regional ENT practice.

Responsibilities include evaluating and managing patients in the outpatient setting, performing office-based diagnostic and procedural care, developing and maintaining a surgical practice, participating in appropriate hospital or ambulatory surgery center coverage, and collaborating with other specialists and referring physicians. The role may include opportunities for involvement in program development, clinical protocols, quality improvement, teaching, and practice growth initiatives depending on the candidate's interests and experience.

The practice offers access to a diverse patient population across New York City, with opportunities to develop a subspecialty niche while maintaining a strong foundation in general otolaryngology. Our group values clinical excellence, thoughtful communication, efficient patient care, and a team-oriented approach. We are looking for physicians who want to be part of a growing organization and who are excited to contribute to the long-term development of a high-quality ENT platform.

Fifth Avenue Otolaryngology provides a supportive environment for physicians who are early in their careers as well as those with established clinical experience. Compensation and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with training, experience, productivity, and role structure. Partnership or leadership opportunities may be available for the right candidate as the group continues to expand.

Interested candidates are invited to submit a CV and brief statement of interest for consideration.

Candidate Requirements:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Successful completion of an accredited otolaryngology-head and neck surgery residency program
  • Board certification or board eligibility in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery
  • Eligible for medical licensure in New York and/or New Jersey
  • New York medical license required or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Fellowship training welcomed but not required
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage a broad range of general ENT conditions
  • Interest in building an outpatient and operative practice
  • Excellent communication skills with patients, families, colleagues, staff, and referring physicians
  • Commitment to compassionate, ethical, high-quality patient care
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a growing physician-led group
  • Eligibility for hospital credentialing and medical staff appointment at affiliated regional medical centers
  • DEA registration and controlled substance registration as applicable
  • Professional liability insurability and good standing with prior employers, training programs, and licensing boards
