Job summary

WelbeHealth is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Long Beach, CA. The COTA collaborates with the Rehabilitation IDT to implement care plans and report progress to the clinical team, delivering restorative and rehabilitative OT services at the center and in participants’ homes to maximize independence, safety, and ADLs.

Under the Occupational Therapist, you will help coordinate treatments, ensure accurate documentation, and contribute to a holistic care approach.

Qualifications

  • OTA associate’s degree from an accredited program.
  • Valid California OTA license, or proof of license eligibility.
  • OTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs.

Responsibilities

  • Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in obtaining vital signs, ROM, and strength testing.
  • Coordinate with Rehabilitation team to implement activities based on individual treatment plans.
  • Handle scheduling of participants’ treatments, clinical visits, and billing.
  • Document OT interventions per care plans including devices, techniques, and activities to promote independence in ADLs.

Education

OTA associate’s degree from an accredited program
Valid California OTA license
