Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of treatment techniques and adaptive equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations to assess patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
• Implement therapy interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and strength
• Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and techniques to improve their independence
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
• Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and their families on how to continue therapy exercises at home
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
