Job summary

Identify Security is seeking an OT Security Engineer for a 6–12 month contract to support a confidential manufacturing client. The role is remote when not onsite, with 30–50% travel and travel expenses covered.

You will lead plant‑level OT remediation, focusing on asset validation, patching, and firmware validation while ensuring production safety. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in OT/ICS, knowledge of PLCs/HMIs/SCADA, experience with segmentation, NAC, firewalls, and vulnerability

Qualifications

• 5+ years working with OT/ICS, controls, or manufacturing systems.
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, drives, firmware and safety impacts.
• Exposure to OT security tools: endpoint protection, patching, NAC, firewalls, vulnerability remediation.
• Ability to work shoulder-to-shoulder with plant and controls teams.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% and communicate across sites.

Responsibilities

• Work with plant, controls OT, and security teams.
• Validate OT assets, operating systems, firmware, and data flows.
• Support remediation across IPCs, HMIs, PLCs, drives, IO modules, servers, and related OT systems.
• Assist with endpoint protection deployment in OT environments.
• Support patching, firmware validation, rollback planning, and compensating controls.
• Help with segmentation, NAC, firewalls, remote access, and network reviews.
• Document findings, deployment status, issues, exceptions, and remediation progress.
• Ensure security changes do not disrupt production or safety controls.
