Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Security and Compliance Consultant to drive governance, execution, and improvement of OT regulatory compliance programs in alignment with NERC CIP and TSA directives. You will guide business units, owners, and tech teams to strengthen controls, ensure audit readiness, and maintain defensible evidence and processes.

The role emphasizes standardized processes, stakeholder training, and meaningful metrics, with visibility into control performance and remediation progress

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technology, science, business or related field, or 4 years of experience equivalent.
• Seven years of related functional experience.
• At least 2 years of experience using project management tools, techniques and communication processes.
• Experience in IT, Supply Chain or Security; demonstrated project management activities.
• Expertise in NERC and TSA policy and regulation compliance.
• Ability to work in a diverse, regulated and rapidly changing business environment.
• Experience managing core business processes and driving continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate between technical and non-technical concepts.
• Strong relationship management and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Operations Management: lead and execute OT compliance programs across NERC CIP and TSA requirements; manage controls and audit readiness.
• Process Management: design and improve standardized compliance processes and tools (Archer) for evidence management and reporting.
• Training / Communications: deliver targeted training; develop metrics to measure control effectiveness and program maturity.
• Relationship Management: act as primary compliance liaison across ESS, Technology Services, Transmission, and Generation; coordinate with auditors and regulators.
