Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to cover Atkinson, Bacon & Coffee Counties in Georgia. The role involves delivering OT services under a physician-approved plan of care, ensuring safety and timely documentation, and supervising aides when needed.

Qualified applicants will have an ACOTE-accredited OT degree, Georgia OT license, NBCOT eligibility, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of OT experience in home health settings.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice occupational therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OT program.
• Eligible to take NBCOT certification exams or newly certified.
• One year related OT experience required; mentoring if less than 1 year may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services per physician-approved plan of care.
• Ensure the plan of care addresses problems identified in assessments; provide rationale if not addressed.
• Ensure safety and effectiveness of the OT service delivery process.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervise home health aide when RN is not active in the case.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Completes documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervises home health aide when RN is not active in the case.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice occupational therapy specific to the state you are assigned to work.

• Graduate of an occupational therapy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA), or successor organizations of ACOTE.
• Eligible to take, or has successfully completed, the entry-level certification examination for occupational therapists developed and administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT).
• One year related occupational therapy experience to ensure knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide occupational therapy services to patients.
  • If less than one (1) year experience, then approval from regional clinical leaders required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or residency program established.
• Current CPR certification.
