Job summary

SVSU is seeking a part-time Clinical Professional for Occupational Therapy Fieldwork to supervise OT students during fieldwork rotations in community settings. The role involves collaborating with the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator on student expectations, performance, and learning.

Experience supervising students and a Michigan OT license or eligibility are required. The position emphasizes developing student learning opportunities, providing timely feedback, and evaluating student performance

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in occupational therapy is required.
• At least one year of clinical experience.
• Experience with student education and/or supervision.
• Current OT licensure in Michigan or eligibility.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn new software quickly.
• Ability to interact with a diverse campus community.

Responsibilities

• Supervise small groups of OT students during fieldwork rotations.
• Develop rapport with assigned facility staff and clients.
• Identify and assign caseloads for students.
• Facilitate learning opportunities aligned with the MSOT curriculum.
• Provide verbal and written feedback to support student growth.
• Evaluate student performance and perform other duties as assigned.
