Job summary

GrayMatter is seeking an OT Field Network Engineer to join our team. This remote role requires 50% travel to Florida and regional clients, with occasional travel beyond the state.

You will execute cybersecurity risk assessments, design secure IT/OT networks, troubleshoot complex security solutions, and collaborate with architects to define project scopes. The ideal candidate has a technical degree or 8+ years in networking and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 8 years of networking experience, or 8 years in networking with relevant certs.
• Expert in troubleshooting all layers of the OSI model.
• Knowledge of ISA 62243, IEC 27001, NIST SP 800, NIST CSF, and/or NERC CIP.
• Understanding of PLCs, SCADA software, RTUs, HMI, and DCS.
• Understanding Purdue Model for ICS cybersecurity.
• Know industrial protocols: CIP, DNP3, Ethernet/IP, OPC-UA, MODBUS, MQTT.

Responsibilities

• Execute cybersecurity risk and vulnerability assessments for customers.
• Design, consult, and provide recommendations for securing IT and OT networks.
• Troubleshoot advanced cybersecurity solutions to resolve issues.
• Consult with clients to solve networking and security challenges.
• Develop internal and partner solutions to address security challenges.
• Work with solution architects to develop project scopes.
