Job summary

Georgia System Operations Corporation (GSOC) seeks a Security Operations Engineer to protect the OT environments powering Georgia's electric grid. You will implement cybersecurity programs, advise on risk, and collaborate with IT, engineering, and compliance teams to strengthen critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities include policy development, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and ongoing regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Experience in cybersecurity engineering, OT/ICS security, infrastructure engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support security, resilience, and regulatory compliance of OT environments for GSOC and GTC.
• Develop and improve physical and cybersecurity programs for critical operational environments.
• Apply defense-in-depth to OT, ICS, networks, servers, and access control.
• Document policies, controls, asset records, and compliance evidence.
• Lead or support cross-functional initiatives across Power Technology and Regulatory teams.
• Provide technical leadership during audits, incidents, and remediation efforts.
• Evaluate technologies to strengthen OT cybersecurity and infrastructure protection.
