Job summary

Valley Health Specialty Hospital in Las Vegas is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support goal-oriented treatments under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, aiming to maximize independence in activities of daily living and upper extremity functioning.

The role is centered in an orthopedic surgery and inpatient rehabilitation setting, serving patients across the age spectrum with a focus on functional recovery and safe mobility, within the UHS network.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy from a college program satisfying the American Occupational Therapy Association academic and intern requirement for competence in OT.
• License/Certification: Nevada State License as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. (Must be in the process of licensure and practicing under a student license).
• Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Current BLS certification.
• Other: Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department

Responsibilities

• Job Description: Responsible for carrying out goal oriented treatments established by the Occupational Therapist to facilitate maximum level of independence in ADL and UE functioning
