Job summary

Infosys is seeking an Architecture Consultant 2 to help design scalable and secure architectures, analyze multiple technologies, and drive design across client projects. You will work with cross-functional teams to validate PoCs, create architectural artifacts, and ensure smooth knowledge transfer.

The role emphasizes proactive communication with clients and internal teams while staying current with technologist advancements.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Java (Java 11/17+), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA.
• Strong experience with microservices architecture and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Proficient in Python for scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with Python data libraries such as Pandas/NumPy.
• Cloud platforms and containerization knowledge a plus (Docker/Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Participate in customer discussions to gather and analyze system requirements for performance, security and scalability.
• Provide suggestions on solution architecture, contribute to tech framework development, support enterprise architecture definition, and drive design creation.
• Identify suitable technologies and tools, perform comparative analysis, and define optimal architectural solution options.
• Develop integration strategies based on validation of PoCs for proposed architectures.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and adherence to quality standards, supporting build and deployment automation strategies.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve complex technical issues during build, deployment and support phases.
• Analyze system performance based on implemented architectures and identify potential risks in the landscape.
• Create artifacts of architectural frameworks and technical solutions for the team knowledge base.

In the assigned Job Role of Architecture Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Participate in customer discussions to gather and analyze system requirements for performance, security and scalability.
• Provide suggestions on solution architecture, contribute to tech framework development, support enterprise architecture definition, and drive design creation
• Identify suitable technologies and tools available in the market, and perform a comparative analysis in line with client’s business requirement, thereby identifying optimal architectural solution options
• Participate in developing integration strategies based on validation of proof of concept of proposed architectural solutions
• Facilitate a smooth transition by ensuring knowledge transfer and adherence to quality standards, while contributing to the build and deployment automation strategy
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve complex technical issues using solution deployment and roll out methods, during build, deployment and support phases
• Analyze system performance basis architectural solutions implemented and support in identifying potential risks in the system landscape
• Create artifacts of architectural frameworks and technical solutions, thereby enriching team’s knowledge repository

Your contribution to the team:

• The ability to analyse, design, and develop scalable and secure architectures.
• A knack for assessing multiple technologies, tools and frameworks to recommend optimal solutions.
• Understanding of integration methodologies, proof-of-concept validation and deployment strategies.

Required Skill and Experience

Expert-level Java (Java 11/17+), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA
Strong experience with microservices architecture, REST/GraphQL APIs, and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Deep understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, and domain-driven design (DDD)
Proficient in Python for scripting, automation, data processing, or backend services (Flask/FastAPI/Django)
Experience integrating Python-based tools/services (e.g., data pipelines, ML inference services) with Java systems
Familiarity with Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, or relevant automation/testing frameworks is a plus

Preferred Skill and Experience

Strong grasp of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native design principles
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
Knowledge of databases — both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis)
Understanding of security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, encryption, secure coding)

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
