Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking an OSP Inspector to maintain underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities in the field. You will inspect, document findings, and support safe, compliant project execution with client and vendor teams.

Based near Butte, MT, you will travel to sites, verify construction work, and ensure adherence to NESC and OSP standards. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Experience performing NESC inspections and working on an aerial line crew.
  • Experience conducting wooden pole ground line inspections.
  • Familiarity with OSP Construction Standards and National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
  • Proficiency with Windows, Excel, Outlook; basic mapping tools.
  • Comfortable with internet use and web-based applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors.
  • Experience managing construction contractors in the field.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel with short notice.

YOUR IMPACT

As an OSP Inspector, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and quality of the client’s network infrastructure. Your inspections and documentation will ensure that all underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities meet regulatory and client standards. By identifying issues, guiding corrective actions, and collaborating with both client and vendor teams, you will help drive project success, network reliability, and service excellence. Your contributions directly support safe and efficient construction practices, protect company assets, and ensure timely project completion.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure all client underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities comply with current standards through field inspections and verification of contractor work.
  • Perform audits, inspections, and pole transfers; document findings electronically and, when needed, manually using printed spreadsheets.
  • Utilize mapping/GPS technology to locate and verify plant infrastructure.
  • Communicate effectively via email and cellular phone with client and vendor management.
  • Interface with construction crews, vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met.
  • Travel to field sites as needed; some overnight stays required.
  • Maintain records of all inspections, audits, and corrective actions performed.
  • Mileage will be reimbursed for travel in accordance with company policy.
CORE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Previous experience performingNESC inspectionsor working on anaerial cable line crew.
  • Experience conductingwooden pole ground line inspections.
  • Proficiency inOSP Construction Standardsand working knowledge of theNational Electric Safety Code (NESC).
  • Computer proficiency withMicrosoft Windows, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with mapping tools such asMicrosoft MapPoint(preferred, not required).
  • Comfortable withinternet useandweb-based applications.
  • Strongcommunication,organization, andtime managementskills.
  • Experience inmanaging construction contractorsin the field.
  • Possession of avalid driver’s licenseand flexibility totravel on short notice.

Candidates must reside within one hour of Butte or the surrounding area.

Base Pay Range

$26 - $33 USD
