Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Construction Manager to lead OSP fiber construction projects in the Charlottesville, VA region. You will oversee field operations, supervise subcontractors, and ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, and safety standards.

The role requires at least 1 year of OSP experience, familiarity with Procore or Sitetracker, and the ability to coordinate with utilities and inspectors.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in OSP telecommunications construction.
• Oversee field operations across multiple OSP projects in Charlottesville, VA area.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, NESC) and local permitting processes.
• Proficiency with construction management platforms and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations of OSP fiber projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, utilities, and internal teams for timely delivery.
• Review engineering plans, drawings, and specs; ensure quality and scope alignment.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and project budgets.
• Maintain site safety, track progress, and manage documentation and change orders.
