Job summary

Northampton Community College, in partnership with the MidAtlantic OTI Education Center, seeks an experienced instructor to deliver OSHA-authorized training across multiple courses. The role emphasizes practical safety expertise, adult learning delivery, and the ability to engage diverse learners in both in-person and virtual settings.

Qualifications

• OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer (Construction and/or General Industry).
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, or related field. Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of practical safety and health experience.
• Prior teaching or training experience preferred, especially with adult learners.
• Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to travel to regional training locations (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Deliver OSHA-authorized training courses (10- and 30-hour Outreach Training, 500, 501, 510, 511, and other OSHA numbered courses).
• Customize content to suit the needs of various industries and learners.
• Facilitate interactive and engaging classroom or virtual learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate course records and documentation.
• Stay current on OSHA regulations, industry trends, and adult learning methodologies.
• Represent the MidAtlantic OTI Education Center in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
