OSHA CERTIFIED TRAINING INSTRUCTOR - PART TIMEKENNEDY-KING COLLEGEKennedy-King College is seeking experienced and engaging OSHACertified Training Instructors to deliver high-impact safetytraining courses as part of our Continuing Education division. Thisrole focuses on teaching OSHA 10- and 30-hour courses to adultlearners, with a strong preference for Spanish-speakinginstructors. This position plays a critical role in advancingworkforce development by equipping students with OSHA-recognizedcredentials that enhance employability and promote workplace safetyacross construction, manufacturing, and related industries.

Key Responsibilities- Deliver OSHA 10- and 30-hour training courses using authorizedOSHA curriculum
- Provide engaging, interactive instruction, primarily inSpanish
- Incorporate real-world examples to teach hazard recognition andprevention
- Facilitate discussions, activities, and knowledge checks
Student Engagement & Support- Teach adult learners with diverse educational and literacybackgrounds
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Encourage participation and ensure comprehension of safetyconcepts
Compliance & Documentation- Administer assessments and ensure OSHA course completionrequirements are met
- Track attendance and instructional hours for compliance
- Manage OSHA card processing and maintain accurate courserecords
Technology & Administration- Utilize Learning Management Systems (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas)as needed
- Use Microsoft Office tools to support instruction andreporting
- Deliver virtual instruction via Zoom or Teams (ifrequired)
Program Contribution- Support workforce training initiatives and community impactefforts
- Collaborate with Continuing Education staff and industrypartners
Qualifications- OSHA Authorized Trainer certification (Construction and/orGeneral Industry) – required
- Minimum 5 years of industry or safety training experience
- Proven ability to deliver OSHA training programseffectively
- Bilingual Spanish/English with strong instructional delivery inSpanish preferred
- Flexibility to teach evenings and/or weekends
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, workplace safety, andhazard recognition
- Experience in adult education and workforce training
- Excellent classroom management and facilitation skills
- Ability to engage diverse and underserved populations
- Proficiency with: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,Outlook)
- Learning Management Systems (e.g. Blackboard, Canvas)
- Virtual platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
