Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience measuring, fitting, adjusting, or repairing orthotic devices.
• Instructing patients on wear or care of orthotic devices.
• Documenting orthotic patient encounters.

Responsibilities

• Receives prescriptions from physicians for orthotic braces and appliances ranging from simple arm and hand braces.
• Fabricates, modifies, and repairs other appliances such as arch supports, ankle braces, plaster casts, back braces, and other assistive devices.
• Uses machines and hand tools to perform fabrication and repair tasks.
• Fit, fabricate, design, modify and repair orthotic braces and appliances prescribed by physicians.
• Assists in requisitioning, storage and issue of supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned
