MedStar Orthopedics at Brandywine in Brandywine, MD, seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Spine Surgery team, working closely with Dr. David A. Weiner.

The role covers outpatient clinic duties and first-assist in the OR, with primary site in Brandywine and additional clinic time in Lorton, VA. Full-time, weekdays, 8-hour shifts, no weekends or nights. Brandywine, MD is the main location; some travel to Lorton, VA is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current PA or NP certification and licensure.
• Orthopedic/spine experience preferred.
• NP candidates must have First Assist/RNFA certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage new patients.
• Evaluate established and post-operative patients.
• Conduct independent clinic visits.
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate patient care.
• Provide follow-up care for spine patients.
• First assist in orthopedic spine surgery.
• Work closely with Dr. Weiner in the operating room.
• Support surgical procedures and perioperative patient care.

Orthopedic Spine Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

MedStar Orthopedics at Brandywine – Brandywine, MD & Lorton, VA

MedStar Medical Group is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Orthopedic Spine Surgery team and work closely with Dr. David A. Weiner, Orthopedic Spine Surgeon.

This is a full-time opportunity based primarily out of Brandywine, MD, with patient care at our Lorton, VA office as well. The Advanced Practice Provider will provide both outpatient clinic care and first-assist support in the operating room.

Position Overview

• Full-time, Monday–Friday
• 8-hour shifts
• No weekends, nights, or holidays
• Primary location: Brandywine, MD
• Additional clinic coverage in Lorton, VA
• Work directly with an experienced Orthopedic Spine Surgeon

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage new patients
• Evaluate established and post-operative patients
