Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Orthopedics unit. This part-time night-shift role (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) supports 24 hours per week, delivering patient care using the nursing process and coordinating with other departments. A Missouri RN license (or compact) is required, with BLS up to date.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma or BSN.
• Must hold and maintain a current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure in accordance with state regulations.
• Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain accountability.
• Evaluates care effectiveness of other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
