BJC HealthCare's Memorial Hospital Belleville seeks a Registered Nurse for the orthopedics unit (1 South). The role involves direct patient care on a 32-bed orthopedic/neurologic unit serving post-operative hip/knee/shoulder and spine patients, with Magnet-recognized nursing excellence and a structured career ladder.

The ideal candidate holds a Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree with RN licensure; BSN and orthopedics/med-surg experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required.
• RN license required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Orthopedics and/or Med-Surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care and educates on home care and medications.
• Participates in patient safety, quality and regulatory activities and professional development.
• Develops and documents care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, emotional needs of patients.
• Work in a safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe practice.
