Job summary

UNC Health Orthopedics in Chapel Hill is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for a per diem position in our orthopedic team. The role supports patient care within our credentialed APP scope under a supervising physician and contributes to a patient-centered care approach.

You will perform clinical assessments, order and interpret tests, educate patients, participate in quality improvement, and help lead clinician teams while working onsite with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level APRN or PA program.
• NC licensure as APRN/PA required.
• Board certification if required by the Department; DEA.

Responsibilities

• Clinical assessment, history, physical exams, and differential diagnoses.
• Develop and manage treatment plans with evidence-based meds.
• Educate patients and families; coordinate care and follow-up.
• Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Document thoroughly and maintain patient records per guidelines.
