Job summary

Southeast Orthopedic Specialists is seeking a Physician Assistant to deliver medical care under physician supervision. The role includes performing exams, ordering tests, prescribing medications, and providing patient care with a focus on musculoskeletal health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of an accredited PA program.
• National PA certification and ongoing recertification every six years.
• A PA state license is required.
• Current CPR certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams, orders and interprets tests, prescribes medications, and treats illnesses.
• Monitors therapies and provides continuity of care.
• Triages patient calls and responds to emergencies including CPR.
• Counsels patient/family on preventative health care.
• Documents patient information and care in medical records and may maintain department statistics.
