Job summary

Mercy Clinic Orthopedics, Southfork Location, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers with direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will room patients, obtain vital signs, and assist with exams and procedures while maintaining accurate documentation and providing administrative support.

Ideal candidates have high school diploma and 1 year outpatient experience; completion of MA training or program is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.
• One year of experience in outpatient or ambulatory care setting.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and updating medical and medication histories
• Preparing patients for exams and assisting with provider evaluations and procedures
• Performing basic diagnostic testing and documenting care
• Reinforcing provider-directed patient education
• Maintaining clean, well-stocked exam rooms and adhering to safety and infection-prevention standards
• Assisting with scheduling tests, referrals, follow-ups, and supporting front-office operations
• Participating in quality initiatives, staff meetings, and other MA-related duties
