Job summary

Ascension in Racine, WI, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Orthopedics department. The role is full-time (40 hours) with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, located at All Saints facility.

You will assist physicians and nurses, interview patients, and maintain rooms and supplies to ensure efficient patient care. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, plus BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of relevant experience acceptable.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to assist in patient examinations and treatments.
• Strong organizational and clerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and treatments.
• Interview patients to record medical history and vital signs.
• Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms; manage supplies.
• Handle phone, records, and filing tasks.
