Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Orthopedics department in Oshkosh, WI. This part-time role covers 24 hours per week with shifts across Mon-Fri, including mornings and early afternoons. The MA will perform patient rooming, vital signs, charting, and assist providers with procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• 2 years of verifiable MA experience within the last 5 years acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vital signs, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures and lab duties per CLIA standards.
• Administers meds and vaccines following rights of administration.
• Handles scheduling, referrals, and insurance authorizations as needed.
