Advocate Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Orthopedics to join the 40-hour/week team. The role involves patient prep, clinical tasks, and supporting physicians in orthopedic procedures at the 37400 Davie Medical Center administration unit. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.

to 5 p.m., with a 5-hour Saturday rotation for Orthopedic Urgent Care approximately every 6–8 weeks. No weekends or holidays work?

Qualifications

• LPN license required in the state of practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification must be obtained within 45 days unless exempt.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and room patient for exam; record vitals and health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures using aseptic technique.
• Assist physician with procedures and surgeries in orthopedics.
• Administer medications per orders; manage IV therapy with limitations.
• Provide patient education on tasks, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate referrals, prescriptions, and follow-ups as needed.
• Communicate with healthcare team and document patient information accurately.
• Perform advanced clinical tasks with supervision (e.g., suture removal, catheterization).
• Maintain exam rooms and labs; stock supplies and ensure equipment readiness.
• Support care management and quality improvement activities.
