Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons Pllc in Michigan is seeking a Physician Assistant for UrgentOrtho, our orthopedic urgent care team providing timely specialty care outside traditional hours. You will evaluate and treat patients of all ages in a fast-paced setting and collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons.

You will perform exams, order imaging, assist with procedures, prescribe therapies, and educate patients while ensuring quality, compliant care and seamless continuity of care.

Qualificações

• Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program.
• State of Michigan Physician Assistant licensure.
• Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License.
• Experience as a PA in orthopaedics with broad age range patients.

Responsabilidades

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients of all ages with acute orthopedic conditions.
• Perform focused orthopedic examinations and obtain patient histories.
• Order and interpret X-rays and other imaging as needed.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for fractures, sprains, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions.
• Perform splinting, casting, injections, wound care, and fracture management within scope.
• Prescribe medications and therapies per guidelines.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, plans and follow-up.
• Communicate with surgeons and care teams regarding patient status and plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
