Job summary
Garnet Health Medical Center in New York seeks an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our Trauma team. The surgeon will provide comprehensive orthopedic care, teaching, and leadership within a collaborative health system based in the Hudson Valley.
The role offers a highly competitive salary range and opportunities for academic affiliation with Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. On-site position with a strong focus on patient-centered care and teamwork.
Qualifications
- MD/DO degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy.
- 5 years of surgical experience preferred.
- NY State Medical License required.
- Board Certified/Eligible: Orthopedic Surgery required.
- BLS & ATLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
- Current Opioid Prescriber Training Certificate and Infectious Certificate required.
Responsibilities
- Provide orthopedic trauma coverage per Garnet Health Medical Center standards.
- Education, consultation, and management of orthopedic trauma patients.
- Collaborate with care team including NPs, anesthesiologists, nurses, case management, and therapy services.
- Assist with discharge planning and pain management as part of total care.
- Engage in teaching with academic affiliation to Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine.
