Job summary

Medical City Healthcare seeks a Certified Orthopedic Surgical Technician to support surgeons in orthopedic procedures within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. Responsibilities include preparing ORs, positioning patients, maintaining sterile fields, handling specialized orthopedic instruments, assisting with implants and traction devices, and ensuring accurate counts and documentation.

Collaborate closely with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons to deliver safe, efficient care.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with focus on patient safety in a fast-paced OR.
• Calm under pressure and able to adapt to rotating shifts and on-call coverage.
• Experience assisting with orthopedic implants and traction devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and position patients for orthopedic procedures.
• Maintain sterile fields throughout surgeries.
• Assist surgeons by handling orthopedic instruments and implants.
• Support with counts and documentation of instruments and implants.
• Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists and surgeons to deliver safe, efficient care.
