Job summary

Swedish Medical Group in Issaquah, WA seeks a full-time Orthopedic Surgery physician assistant to join Swedish Orthopedics, collaborating with surgeons and advanced practice clinicians across outpatient, inpatient and surgical settings.

This role focuses on outpatient clinic and inpatient care, with gradual introduction of operating room responsibilities and potential progression to surgical first assist, supporting a broad spectrum of orthopedic conditions and contributing to growth of services

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Washington State PA license or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• National certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).
• Orthopedic rotations and demonstrated interest in orthopedic surgery are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient clinic and inpatient orthopedic care, primarily supporting a total joint arthroplasty practice.
• Support operating room responsibilities as the practice evolves.
• Opportunity to transition into surgical first assist responsibilities.
• Manage orthopedic patients across pre-operative, post-operative and follow-up visits.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, advanced practice clinicians and multidisciplinary teams.
