The Permanente Medical Group (TPMG) is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Hand/Upper Extremity Surgeon to join our collegial team in South Sacramento. Qualifications

• Fellowship-trained orthopaedic hand/upper extremity surgeons are preferred.
• Board Certification or Eligibility required to practice in California.
• Fellowship training in hand/upper extremity emphasis is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hand, wrist, and elbow surgical care for elective and non-elective cases.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate perioperative care and patient planning.
• Engage in teaching, research, and leadership activities within TPMG.

Job description

TPMG is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Hand/Upper Extremity Surgeon to join our collegial team in South Sacramento. Position Highlights

1. Team Composition: after this hire 9 surgeons (3 Hand/Shoulder/Elbow, 2 Total Joint (hips/knees), 2 Sports, 2 Trauma)

2. Collaborative Model: Work closely with 2 experienced Physician Assistants and dedicated specialized Surgical Assistants

3. Surgical Focus: Upper Extremity, both elective and non-elective. Hand/elbow/shoulder expertise HIGHLY desired

4. OR Time: eventual goal 2 days per week

5. Call Schedule: ~1 in 9 (Level 2 community trauma)

   Dedicated trauma room time available staffed by Trauma Orthopedic Surgeons to place cases picked up on call the next day or later
