Job summary

NOW Healthcare Recruitment is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon to join a growing hospital system in Saginaw, Michigan. You will be part of a premier musculoskeletal team with a balanced schedule, modern facilities, and a low-burden ER call.

Mastery in general orthopedics with a focus on fracture care, joint procedures, and sports medicine is valued. The role includes a generous, MGMA-benchmarked base with significant upside, sign-on and relocation options, and comprehensive coverage and benefits.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified (ABOS/AOBOS) or actively Board Eligible.
• Open to graduating residents/fellows as well as experienced surgeons.
• Interest in building a high-volume general orthopedic and basic sports practice within a collegial group.

Responsibilities

• Broad generalist role: fracture care, joint procedures, general orthopedic cases.
• Basic sports medicine component: knee/shoulder arthroscopy, ACL reconstructions, rotator cuff repairs.
• Opportunity for community or athletic team coverage.
• Typical schedule: 2–3 clinic days and 2–3 OR days per week.
• Immediate surgical volume with robust elective arthroscopy and soft-tissue cases.
• Inpatient surgeries at the main campus; outpatient cases at a nearby surgery center.
• Flexible group block time, with access to open block time from colleagues.
• Low-burden ER call: 3–5 shifts per month (~48 days/year), taken from home with standard callback.
