CHRISTUS Southern New Mexico Bone & Joint in Alamogordo, NM seeks a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon to join our premier musculoskeletal team. Step into an established referral network with immediate surgical volume, supported by a Level III Trauma Center and a modern ambulatory surgery center.

You will provide comprehensive surgical and non-surgical care to a diverse patient population, including residents of Alamogordo and Holloman Air Force Base families.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Eligible for an unrestricted New Mexico medical license.
• 3–5 years of experience preferred; exceptional early-career surgeons considered.
• Proficiency in general orthopedics, joint replacement and fracture care.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of procedures including total joint replacements, arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, trauma/fracture care, and hand/upper extremity procedures.
• Evaluate and treat patients in a high-volume setting (~4,000 visits/year).
• Collaborate with an integrated team of surgeons, podiatrists, and advanced practice clinicians.
• Utilize Epic EMR across all settings and operate in an ASC with up-to-date C-arm technology.
• Engage in occasional teaching opportunities for Family Medicine residents and contribute to clinic growth.
