Job summary

Northeast Healthcare Recruitment is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to provide 24/7 trauma call coverage in Kearney, Nebraska. The physician will deliver inpatient and emergency department coverage at a Level II Trauma Center, managing orthopedic injuries and performing surgical procedures as needed.

The role emphasizes collaboration with emergency medicine, trauma, and other specialty teams to coordinate patient care and ensure timely treatment of complex injuries.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency.
• Active Nebraska medical license.
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
• Proficiency in general orthopedic care and fracture management.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic surgery coverage for Level II trauma patients.
• Evaluate and manage orthopedic injuries and fractures.
• Provide general orthopedic care and fracture management.
• Perform orthopedic surgical procedures as needed.
• Respond to emergency department and inpatient consultations.
• Coordinate patient care with emergency medicine, trauma, and other specialty teams.
