Job summary

Community Hospital System in Goldsboro, NC is seeking a General Orthopedic Surgeon with subspecialty interests such as Sports Medicine, Joint Reconstruction, or Trauma. The practice includes total joints and robotic-assisted cases, with a shared call rotation and outpatient-based work in state-of-the-art OR facilities.

The successful candidate will be board-certified or eligible in Orthopedic Surgery, fellowship-trained, with NC license eligibility, and will join a system of 316 beds and 300

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Sports Medicine, Joint Reconstruction, Trauma, or related fields.
• Experience with robot-assisted procedures and total joint replacements.
• Willingness to participate in shared call rotation.
• Comfortable with outpatient-based practice and modern OR facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform general orthopedic surgery with subspecialty support as needed.
• Engage in total joint and robotic-assisted cases.
• Participate in call rotation to support practice and community needs.
• Collaborate with APPs, radiology techs, and clinical/admin staff.
• Provide care in an EPIC EMR environment.

Role:

• General Orthopedic Surgery with support for subspecialty interests (e.g., Sports Medicine, Joint Reconstruction, Trauma)
• Surgical volume includes total joints, and cases requiring robotic assistance
• Shared call rotation required to support the practice and community needs
• Must be flexible to accommodate urgent/emergent cases and surgical add-ons
• Practice supported by experienced APPs, x-ray techs, and clinical/admin staff
• Outpatient-based, with access to state-of-the-art OR facilities
• EPIC EMR across the system

Background Profile:

• Board Certified / Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine, Joint Reconstruction, Trauma, or similar
• Experience with robot-assisted procedures and total joint replacements
• Comfortable with call coverage and urgent/emergent orthopedic care
• Eligible for a NC state Medical License
