Job summary

Hudson Regional Health is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our Hospital System in New Jersey. The PA-C will provide care from preoperative evaluations to surgical first-assisting and postoperative management within our three-hospital network.

The role emphasizes collaboration with supervising surgeons and an interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes, with rotating 12-hour shifts and on-call coverage for weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Patient evaluation including medical history, physical examination, and ordering/interpreting tests.
• Surgical first assist in orthopedic and spine procedures as directed by the surgeon.
• Provide complete preoperative and postoperative care including clinic visits and rounds.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and manage patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, options, and postoperative care.
• Document all encounters, procedures, and plans in the EMR system.
