Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center in Palm Beach County is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care for an assigned group of patients, applying evidence-based practices to support optimal outcomes.

As a valued member of the nursing team, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, maintain Florida RN licensure, and uphold the ANA ethics and standards while educating patients and families and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of Florida.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care for an assigned group of patients.
• Apply the nursing process and theories and principles of psycho-social and physical sciences in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Practice autonomously within professional nursing standards, the ANA Code of Ethics, and the ANA Bill of Rights. The RN strives for quality outcomes and innovative practice under the Florida Nursing Practice Act and the Hospital/departmental policies.
• The RN collaboratively provides care with other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes.
• In managing patient care the RN will take a leadership role in coordinating the interdisciplinary team working in collaboration with other health team members to enhance patient outcomes.
• The RNs have a responsibility to act as educators to their peers, patients, and their families—all aspects of the RN's performance support service excellence and a healing environment.
• The RN identifies and communicates needed unit resources or equipment to be included in the budget.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
