Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO 63128 seeks a Registered Nurse for the Orthopedics unit. This full-time, day-shift position (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) offers 36 hours per week and a $20,000 sign-on for experienced nurses or $10,000 for new graduates.

The RN utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care, coordinates with other departments, maintains patient rights and confidentiality, and supports Mercy’s mission and service standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Current MO RN license or compact license.
• Experience: Hospital experience preferred.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains accountability for care provided to assigned patients.
• Evaluates care effectiveness of other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
• Adheres to Mercy mission, values and service standards.
