Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England’s Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT is seeking an RN in Orthopedics to care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions, including post-surgical recovery and trauma care. The role involves pain management, wound care, and collaboration with physical therapy in a fast-paced unit.

Required: nursing school graduation and CT RN license. 2+ years orthopedic/surgical experience preferred; BLS/CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Two or more years of Orthopedic or Surgical experience in an acute inpatient setting (preferred).
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, including analgesics, and monitor pain, wounds, and dressings.
• Assist patients in early ambulation and coordinate with physical therapists.
• Educate patients on pre-op and post-op procedures and recovery expectations.
