Job summary

Mercy is seeking a PRN Orthopedic Registered Nurse to provide specialized care to surgical and acute musculoskeletal patients across our Midwest facilities. You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and manage post-operative recovery while coordinating care with an expert multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Assessment of surgical/acute patients to identify needs and risk.
• Administer medications per protocol and physician orders.
• Manage post-operative recovery with monitoring and documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for patient-centered care.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and expected outcomes.
• Ensure safe transitions with discharge planning and follow-up.
