Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year radiologic technology program or equivalent military training.
• Completion of coursework required for appropriate state licensure and certification(s) (if applicable).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Knowledge of radiographic technique and medical imaging system(s).
• Vast knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy.
• Ability to work independently and have working knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
• Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with patient care in producing high quality radiographs.
• Must command radiographic techniques and medical imaging systems.
• Understand and carry out radiology requisitions.
• Assist patients in getting into required positions for radiographs.
• Take X-rays following established procedures for patient safety.
• Stock necessary supplies and ensure equipment is working.
• Provide training and supervision to student technologists.
• Support Medical Assistants with various patient care tasks.
