Responsibilities

• Serve as first assistant during surgical cases as needed (OR first assist per leadership).
• Perform hospital rounds for inpatients and provide orthopaedic care documentation.
• Contribute to orthopaedic education for nursing and physical therapy staff.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative instructions to patients and families.
• Respond to calls, provide treatment instructions, and document encounters.
• Prepare discharge letters and coordinate with referring physicians post-op.
• Liaise between RI physicians and outside consultants regarding patient care.
