Job summary

Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute, Inc. is seeking a Physician Assistant to join Dr. Freeman's team at the San Marco office in Jacksonville, FL. The full-time position supports physicians with patient care, surgical assistance, and postoperative activities.

Requirements include a PA degree with ARC-PA accreditation, Florida PA license, PANCE, and 1+ year orthopaedic experience preferred. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance plus a 401K plan.

Qualifications

• PA degree with ARC-PA accreditation
• Successful PANCE completion and Florida PA license
• Minimum 1 year orthopaedic clinical experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide initial and ongoing patient assessment under physician supervision
• Apply/Remove orthopedic casts or splints for fractures
• Perform wound care and suture lacerations
• Prescribe outpatient medications per Florida regulations
• Assist surgeons during procedures and post-operative care
• Maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance
• Maintain a clean, safe clinical environment
• Communicate recommendations to management and participate in team meetings
