Job summary

Hudson Regional Health is seeking an Orthopaedic Clinical Physician Assistant to work closely with the orthopedic surgeon in the outpatient setting. You will evaluate patients, take histories, perform exams, order imaging, and assist with treatment plans and surgical clearances under physician supervision.

The role emphasizes improving patient flow, education, perioperative care, and coordination for high-quality orthopedic services in a patient-first environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited PA program.
• ARC-PA accredited PA education program.
• Current NJ PA license.
• PA-C certification.
• DEA registration preferred or required depending on prescribing responsibilities.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and obtain medical histories.
• Perform physical examinations and coordinate diagnostic studies (X-rays, MRIs, CT scans).
• Develop treatment plans under physician supervision and manage follow-up visits.
• Provide patient education and assist with preoperative and postoperative care.
• Coordinate surgical clearances and preparatory information for consultations.

Education

Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program

Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant educational program
