MaineHealth Orthopedic Sports Surgery – Stephens Hospital is seeking a Physician Associate/Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join our orthopedic team in Norway, ME. Under physician supervision, provide medical care through outpatient evaluation and orthopedic surgical support in both clinic and operating room settings.

The position requires orthopedic experience, current Maine licensure or eligibility, NCCPA certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Accredited Physician Assistant/Physician Assistant program or ACNP with Acute Care Certification required.
• State licensure in Maine or eligibility to obtain
• Current NCCPA certification for PA/PA or ACNP
• Current BLS certification
• Knowledge of patient assessment techniques and clinical evaluation

Responsibilities

• Office-based evaluation and treatment of outpatients.
• Orthopedic surgical support and positioning as first assist when trained.
• Clinic and operating room duties under orthopedic surgeon supervision.
