Job summary

Reno Orthopedic Center in Reno, NV seeks a Physical Therapist for outpatient rehab. You will assess, plan, and implement rehabilitative programs to improve mobility and strength for post-operative orthopedic patients in our outpatient setting.

Build relationships with surgeons and providers as ROC grows with new operating suites. The role involves designing therapy plans, documenting progress, and educating patients.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Active/unrestricted Nevada Physical Therapy license from Nevada State Board.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed physical therapy programs to restore physical functioning and mobility.
• Review physician referrals and patient records to plan and assess interventions.
• Identify goals and reevaluate plans based on progress.
• Test and document strength, motor development, and functional capacity in EMR.
• Modify interventions to achieve desired outcomes and refer to others when needed.
• Educate patients on injury prevention and ergonomics.
• Instruct on assistive devices and home exercise programs.
• Discharge patients when goals are met and arrange follow-up care.
• Maintain punctual attendance to minimize scheduling impacts.
• Provide customer service and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Education
