Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists-Specialists One Day ASC in North Syracuse, NY is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join a supportive OR team. The role requires assisting in opening and scrubbing for procedures, preparing equipment and supplies, and helping deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ASC setting.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, current Surgical Technologist certification, and OR experience; college degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• OR experience required; two years of hospital OR experience desired.
• Surgical Technologist certification required.
• Ability to scrub all types of cases preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with providers, patients and peers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the opening of the operating room (OR) and preparation for assigned cases.
• Scrub on surgical procedures as assigned.
• Anticipate the needs of the physician and have equipment, medical gases and supplies readily available for all procedures.
• Identify and act to correct and break in technique and reports as required.
• Assist in preparing for the next day cases and cleaning/stocking of the ORs, ensuring that an adequate amount of in-house supplies and medical gases are available in accordance with weekly caseload.
• Other responsibilities as needed/assigned.
