Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking an Operating Room Manager for an Orthopedic Ambulatory Surgery Center. This hands-on clinical leadership role oversees OR, Sterile Processing, and Pharmacy with direct patient care and staff oversight.

The role requires RN licensure, BSN preferred, and 3–5 years perioperative nursing experience plus 2 years in ASC leadership. Expect collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia, and administration to provide safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• RN license current.
• BSN preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• 3–5 years perioperative nursing experience.
• 2 years leadership/charge nurse or management experience in ASC or surgical services preferred.
• Experience with medication management and pharmacy oversight preferred.
• Strong understanding of orthopedic procedures, implants, instrumentation, and perioperative workflows.
• Knowledge of sterile processing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and participate in daily surgical operations, ensuring safe, efficient patient care.
• Supervise perioperative staff and develop staffing schedules to meet case volumes.
• Oversee orthopedic surgical services, implants, instrumentation, and equipment readiness; ensure efficient turnover.
• Oversee medication management in collaboration with pharmacy leadership and maintain compliance with storage and regulatory requirements.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance (AAAHC, CMS, OSHA).
• Assist in budgeting, monitor supply usage and labor costs, and identify process-improvement opportunities.
